Rolling the Dice for a Good Cause
The La Mesa Woman’s Club recently brought members, friends and community guests together for a morning of Bunco, laughter, friendship and fundraising at our local Marie Callendar Restaurant
The event was a wonderful reminder that giving back to our community can also be a lot of fun. With dice rolling, friendly competition and plenty of conversation, guests enjoyed a morning designed to bring people together while supporting the philanthropic work of the La Mesa Woman’s Club.
More Than a Game
Bunco provided the perfect setting for a morning of connection. Whether guests were experienced Bunco players or simply came to enjoy time with friends, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and full of energy.
And, of course, there was the excitement of the dice!
As the rounds progressed, players moved from table to table, meeting new people and enjoying the friendly competition. There was plenty of cheering when someone rolled a Bunco—and good-natured groans when the dice didn’t cooperate.
Fundraising With a Purpose
While the event was about having fun, the larger purpose was community impact.
The La Mesa Woman’s Club has a long tradition of combining friendship, service and philanthropy. The Club’s mission is focused on bringing women together to support education, strengthen the community and create meaningful impact.
Fundraising events such as Bunco provide an opportunity for members and community supporters to come together and help make that work possible.
The Club currently supports a variety of community initiatives, including local education and literacy efforts, scholarships, health and family support, and community organizations.
Thank You to Everyone Who Made the Event Possible
The La Mesa Woman’s Club extends its sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the Bunco fundraiser a success:
- Our members and volunteers who planned and organized the event
- Everyone who donated prizes, food or other items
- Our guests and community supporters who purchased tickets and participated
- And, most importantly, everyone who came ready to have fun while supporting the Club’s community mission
