One of the greatest joys of community service is working side by side with others to make a difference. That spirit was on full display as members of the La Mesa Woman’s Club were joined by the enthusiastic volunteers of Sprites of East County, Year 2032, to assemble 125 backpacks filled with school supplies for students at Bancroft Elementary School.
The room buzzed with conversation, laughter, and teamwork as volunteers organized stacks of classroom essentials. Working assembly-line style, everyone had a role to play—from opening boxes and sorting supplies to carefully packing each backpack to ensure every student would receive the same collection of school essentials.
The partnership between the La Mesa Woman’s Club and Sprites of East County Year 2032 made the day especially memorable. The energy and enthusiasm of the young volunteers blended perfectly with the experience and dedication of Club members. It was wonderful to see different generations working together toward a common goal—demonstrating that community service truly has no age limit.
