The La Mesa Woman’s Club is proud to be actively involved with the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce, and we value every opportunity to strengthen our local connections. Many of our Club members are also active business owners and Chamber members, making these events especially meaningful.
Recently, we joined a joint La Mesa and Spring Valley Chambers mixer for Taco Tuesday at El Torito Mexican Restaurant. The evening was filled with great conversation, delicious food, and the chance to connect with both familiar faces and new members of the community. The event was emceed by Mary E, President of the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce and fellow La Mesa Woman’s Club member, who helped bring energy and connection to the evening.
As the first collaborative mixer between the two Chambers, the event set the tone for what we hope will be many more opportunities to bring neighboring communities together.
In addition to networking, the evening also provided a chance to explore El Torito as a potential venue for a future La Mesa Woman’s Club event as part of our upcoming 125th anniversary celebrations.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share the mission of the La Mesa Woman’s Club and highlight the work we do to support local causes. Most importantly, it gave us the chance to connect face-to-face, exchange ideas, and continue building meaningful relationships within our business and nonprofit community.
Club members—including Mary E (La Mesa Chamber of Commerce), along with Ellen M (Keller Williams Realty), Rianna B and Nichole V (Drawing Board Marketing, LMWC’s branding team), Debra C (Feeding the Flock), and Pauline B (La Mesa Woman’s Club)—enjoyed catching up with one another while also connecting with fellow Chamber members.
