Pat S, Pat K, Pauline, Marsha, Sandi and Kathy attended the 68th CFWC Southern District Convention on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
The theme was “The Magic Fairy Garden”. Everyone came wearing wings, floral headbands, and carrying fairy wands. Our President, Kathy Tinsley, looked impressive as the Tooth Fairy.

The purpose of the day was to celebrate the club’s accomplishments in 2025 and support the installation of new Southern District officers for 2026-2028 term.
Federation sisters from all the Southern District clubs attended so it was a great opportunity to learn what they had been doing, make new friends and share some great food.
The La Mesa Woman’s Club was awarded multiple Certificates of Achievement:
- 1st Place – Membership
- 1st Place – Civic Engagement
- 2nd Place – Advocates for Children
- 2nd Place – Arts & Culture
- 2nd Place – Environment
- 3rd Place – Health & Wellness
The awards are determined after a review of the CFWC reports that were written at the end of the year. The reports include data that members of the club share when they submit a completed “Worksheet for Tracking Hours and Donations”.
It was a successful day for the club and the members who attended.
